Another beautiful beach session in the books! Maternity sessions are so special and I love to capture the joy before the joy. I feel so lucky to have access to such gorgeous lakefront scenery here in Kenosha because I could not have imagined a more perfect backdrop for this session. Something about the combination of the rich blue water and golden hour just speaks to my soul. Congrats to this beautiful, growing family!

Could this proposal could have been any more perfect? He thought of everything! These moments are my favorite to photograph because I love seeing seeing that raw, genuine joy (and shock). I was so excited to capture Candace’s branding photos celebrating her promotion at Tangles Salon Studio in Racine! I’m always thrilled when I get the opportunity to take photos in a new space, especially when there is an exposed brick wall involved. I just can’t resist! Congrats, Candace!

I had the best time photographing my first senior session of the season! We had to wait out the rain for a bit, but I’m so glad we did because her photos turned out stunning! Sometimes you just can’t beat those rich colors right after it rains. I had so much fun getting creative and adventurous during this session—it’s not everyday that your client volunteers to get fully submerged in Lake Michigan!

I love cozy in-home sessions! Everyone’s joy around a new addition to the family is always so sweet, it warms my heart every time. And when the family pup wants in on all the love, it’s even better!

It is always such a blessing to capture milestones for good friends! This cozy newborn session was so much fun to shoot. The festive Christmas decorations were definitely a bonus! I love in home sessions because they are so personal and intimate, and there is no where better to capture a family’s true personality than in their own home. :)

Kenosha is full of hidden gem photo locations, and I love exploring the downtown area and discovering unique photo spots. There is so much variety with interesting architecture and textured brick walls all within walking distance. It’s so easy to interact with the environment and get creative and unique shots! You can also count on an urban location to look great during all seasons (even winter)!

The snow was a pleasant surprise for this November senior session! It may have been cold, but it was worth the shivers! I don’t get to take a lot of portraits with a snowy backdrop, so I was thrilled to include this unique element during in the photoshoot. Do not hesitate to book a winter session because these turned out great!

It may have been too cold for our session originally planned for outdoors, but the Stella Hotel & Ballroom really came through as a last minute back up! I’m thrilled with the way these turned out, and so grateful we were able to use such a beautiful space as a back drop!

Here we are again at Petrifying Springs! There’s a reason why so many clients choose this location for Fall photos—the crunchy, bold colors never disappoint. I’m so excited to finally be sharing this gallery! I love shooting senior portraits because I love capturing personality. My senior photos (way back in the day, haha) were so cringy and stiff, so it is always my goal to deliver the complete opposite. I always send out a questionnaire to help me bring your vision to life, or help you develop one if you are unsure of what you want.

I’m so excited to share these photos of this Autumn wonderland! I swear, Mother Nature is killing it in Wisconsin more than ever this Fall! How satisfying are these colors? When I see the words “fall themed portrait session” on a client inquiry, I cheers the moment with a sip of pumpkin spice as I type back, “ABSOLUTELY!”

The weather was perfect, the colors were bold and beautiful, and the kiddos really brought all the energy to this session! We got so many great photos, but I am most excited about all those action shots. I love capturing each family’s personality in their gallery, and if that means your 2 year old is running in circles while your oldest child is tackling dad, then you bet I’m going to snapping photos of all that excitement!

Can you believe this was my first time shooting at the Kemper Center? I will definitely be back! The colors and the architecture are gorgeous. Plus, you get rustic brick, nature, and Lake Michigan all in one location!

When the client asks for a spooky session, I deliver! This is seriously the most fun I’ve had taking photos in a while! I love getting the chance to get creative and stray from my typical editing style. I wanted to emphasize those crispy fall colors, while still giving the photos a grainy, film look. Thanks to the clients for bringing such bad ass props to the session!

Can we talk about how absolutely stunning the colors are at Simmon’s Island this time of year?? We could not have had better luck with the weather this day. The sky was clear, the air was crisp, and Lake Michigan was my favorite shade of deep blue. The golden beach grass always looks stunning in those conditions. :)

I’m back at Petrifying Springs, but this time, Fall is truly in the air! Every time I have a shoot at Pets, I arrive 30 minutes early and bite my nails as I watch all the other photographers set up in my favorite spots to shoot. I always think to myself, is it really worth competing for a spot every time? The answer is yes, especially this time of year!
